2022 INTERNATIONAL JURY PANEL

The 2022 international jury panel is composed of 12 members from 7 countries and led by the founder of Match, Mr. Tomaz Mok. The members are brand executives, marketing strategist, agency founders, design institution professionals etc. In the future, CTYPEAWARDS will continue to expand and promote the diversity of the panel, ensuring that each work is fully reviewed and e­valuated with sufficient time.

Chairman of the CTYPEAWARDS International Jury.

Mr. Mok has been in the advertising industry for 43 years and served as Creative Director for McCann Hong Kong, Singapore, New York, Taipei and Mainland China. During the 20 years of his post in China, he has successfully made McCann one of the most awarded advertising agencies. Mr. Mok has served as a judge for multiple major advertising festivals in Cannes, Clio, New York and Asia Pacific. He is currently the director of the New York Advertising Festival, and an advisor at Clio Awards, Longxi Awards, Taipei Creative Festival, and Chinese Advertising Festival.

She has also curated numerous art exhibitions, including the annual Mariedalgar exhibitions. Masa has served as a jury for Pentawards and CTYPEAWARDS for many years.

Franck studied at the superior school of industrial design but eventually dropped out in 1992. Instead, he dedicated entirely to CARRÉ BASSET, the agency he and his friend Guillaume Carré founded together 25 years ago. Franck's considerable experience in design and unique artistic vision brought innovative creations and the agency is considered a catalyst by his clients. In Franck’s perspective, the all-time best designer is no other than Victor Hugo: "Form is the substance that rises to the surface".

Della Chuang is a professor of the visual communications master program at Pratt Institute (New York, USA). She is the former fragrance director of the Ralph Lauren Perfume and fragrance specialist at Tom Ford. Her clients include Rolls-Royce Motors, Hublot, L'Oréal, Estée Lauder etc.Della has been nominated multiple times at the FiFi Award (known as the Oscar’s awards in the perfume industry) since 2003. She was also nominated as one of the top 100 designers of the International Design Alliance (IDA) in 2011. The limited edition of her book KyotEau: Bottled Memories (Traditional Chinese & English Bilingual vers., 2009) was selected by the acclaimed perfume evaluation website nstperfume.com (Now Smell This) as one of the world's must-reads for perfume amateurs in 2015.

Xu Jun is the chief designer at Shanghai Jahwa. For more than 20 years, he has mainly engaged in product design and the development of cosmetic brands including Herborist, Liushen, Maxam, Gaofu and other well-known domestic brands. His works have won awards including the Shanghai Excellent New Product Design Award, National Excellent Design Award, PackStar Award, Oriental Star Design Award, Pentawards and multiple domestic Invention and Creation Patent Design awards. He has won honorable titles including Shanghai Labor Model, Excellent Design Artist of Virtue and Art, Pioneer of Chinese Design etc.

to serve as a member of the international jury panel at design competitions such as PENTAWARDS, Core77 Design Awards, Asian Student Packaging Design Competition (ASPAC), Topawards Asia, DeMark, Dremel, SME Awards etc. He is a professor at a leading university and often publishes as a guest columnist for many publishers. In addition,

he founded PROMPT DESIGN in 2009 where he is committed skillful marketing strategies and design creations.

Sophie leads Pearlfsher's Futures, Insight and Innovation sector across four studios around the world. Over the course of her career, she has helped shape the future of challengers and iconic brands, including Samsung, Allianz, Vodafone, Unilever, Waitrose, JoMalone and SohoHouse. She shared her insights on how brands are facing the impact due to cultural shifts through international stages like TEDx, London Design Week, Food Matters, Marketing and Cosmoprof. She is also a columnist for Luxury Society, Huff Post, Branding Magazine, PSFK, The Sunday Telegraph, Monocle and Elle Magazine.

Roger Tredre is MA Fashion Communication Course Leader at Central Saint Martins, London. Among a series of high-profile roles in media, he was launch Editor-in-Chief of global trends website WGSN and Senior Vice President Content of innovation service Stylus.com. He has lectured worldwide, including Tsinghua and Donghua universities in China, and has written for newspapers such as The Times and The Observer and magazines including Vogue and Vanity Fair. He has consulted for companies including Hugo Boss and Condé Nast. He is co-author of The Great Fashion Designers, the second edition of which was published by Bloomsbury in 2020.

Mr. Yang Zhenghua has more than 30 years of advertising experience. He was the CEO of Publicis Shanghai/Guangzhou and successfully made Publicis one of the top 3 acclaimed advertising agencies during his 12 years in post. He specializes in the marketing of complex products, including finance, technology, healthcare, beauty, F&B products etc. In recent years, he has also participated in online digital marketing (served as CEO of Wangfan from 2012 to 2017) and comprehends the various applications of e-commerce and social platforms.

In August 2019, Mr. Yang joined M&C SAATCHI (China) and is committed to enhancing communication benefits and help clients navigate through the China’s rapidly changing environment.

Mr. BONGYONG JEONG is the CEO of Korean agency CN+WORKS and creative consultant for Pechoin and Huanya Group. He served as the GM of the design department at Amorepacific Group, where he established brands such as Laneige, Mamonde, Hera, and Sulwhasoo.

As an experienced Fashion Designer and Creative Director with a demonstrated history of working in the apparel and fashion industry, Luc Buono founded his consulting agency in Shanghai in 2018. He is skilled in Trend Analysis, Product Development, Marketing Strategy and Brand Identity. Strong Arts and design professional graduated from ESMOD international. During the 14 years in China, he was Product Development Director and Creative Director for brands like CH'IN, METERSBONWE, ME&CITY and MOOMOO.
